Bodenham Arboretum was chosen as the venue for the celebrations for the Heyday 10th anniversary First a guided walk was arranged and 16 members enjoyed a very interesting talk, given by James Binnian, as they wandered around the wonderful grounds.

On Monday September 8, the worldwide annual Wave of Prayer will be supported in St Leonard’s Church at 12 noon to 12.30pm. Every year, the Wave of Prayer is organised so that prayers are being offered to our Lord every minute of one specific week, somewhere in the world.

At our last meeting there was a short business meeting which included chairman Barbara Gregory's thanks to the members who had contributed to and those who had manned the stall at the wordsley festival It was a good day for all those taking part and we felt we had made a valuable contribution to a community event

THIS month marked the end of Dennis Howard's presidential year with two events. Lady guests joined our Tuesday lunch meeting at the Talbot Hotel on Tuesday 17 June and we enjoyed an interesting after-dinner talk by Ian Nex on the 'Early Years of Charles Darwin's Life'
