WORKING parents expecting a child can get a wealth of information at a special session.
Worcestershire County Council's Family Information Service will be telling parents and carers about pregnancy at work, what financial assistance is available to them, maternity and paternity leave and pay entitlements, issues surrounding returning to work and childcare options.
The next session takes place on Monday, July 6, at Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Club, Worcester, from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.
Helen Middleton, Worcestershire County Council’s family information service team coordinator, said: “We have had great feedback from expectant parents and carers who have attended these free sessions. They have left them feeling more informed about their rights as a working parent and their choices for childcare. Dads have also enjoyed the sessions, particularly the information about financial assistance.”
Those wanting to book a place on the free information session or to find out more information can contact the Family Information Service on 01905 790560 or e-mail familyinfo@worcestershire.gov.uk.
