Jewellery stolen in city park robbery


POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cider drinker threatened a man with a glass before robbing his jewellery.

The incident took place between 7.15pm and 7.50pm on Saturday, July 4 at Brickfields Park, Brickfields Road, Worcester A man was playing football in the park with some friends when a man approached them from an alleyway and sat and watched them play whilst drinking cider.

The man then approached them and asked them for the football before asking for the victim’s jewellery while threatening him with a glass.

He took a £30 silver bracelet and £30 silver chain link necklace and left.

The offender is described as white, in his early 20s, of medium build and around 6’ tall. He had shaved, short brown hair, facial stubble and a piercing in his left eyebrow and was wearing a cream round-neck T-shirt with black writing on, blue jeans and white trainers. He was drinking from a bottle of either White Lightening or Frosty Jack cider and was carrying a pint glass.

Police are now appealing for witnesses as it is believed at least one person saw the incident take place.

That's unusual for someome drinking in the streets to have a pint glass with them, drinking from the bottle seems to be the favoured way. Must have higher standards I suppose!

So what were his friends doing while this was taking place??? Standing round watching him be robbed.........?

We all know that they should have given the gentleman a "good talking to" and persusuaded him to go away, but given the twisted logic that seems to be used these days they would probably have ended up in court themselves.
