COMMUNITY groups in the county can get help to find funding.

Great Witley Baby and Toddler Group is one such organisation to benefit from the services offered by Worcestershire Partnership Funding Desk, which helped to secure a grant for £2,000.

The partnership can assist all kinds of community groups and social enterprises in finding and applying for grants.

A free online search facility enables organisations to find out what money is available, while a professional adviser can help with drawing up bids for funding.

Peter Mackenzie-Shaw, funding and resources manager, said: “This is an excellent example of a successful bid that has helped a valuable community group, just like many others throughout the county.”

Caroline Lightfoot, chairman of Great Witley Baby and Toddler Group, said: “I’m delighted that we were successful in securing a grant of £2,000 from the Co-Operative.

“This amount will be sufficient for the group to sustain its activities for the next three to four years.

“I’d like to thank the partnership for their help in sourcing this funding.”
