I AM writing with regard to the outrageous proposal of ‘Pay To Park’ in the old quarter, as detailed in your most recent edition.
I cannot express how utterly disgusted I am by this, particularly as a resident of the lower half of Brook Street, we can rarely find spaces, let alone directly outside our own properties.
There are several people in the lower half with more than one car and on a daily basis I find parking to be a grating experience, so I am truly shocked to learn I may now have to pay for the privilege.
The council should be providing adequate parking for visitors to Stourbridge and those residents wishing to venture into town, not be charging residents to park outside their own home.
