Council leader Peter Lowe says he has no qualms about accepting £1000 towards his election campaign from former Prime Minister Tony Blair, a man with blood on his hands who still stands full square behind his decision to send British troops into an illegal war in Iraq at the behest of an American President without referral to Parliament. Councillor Lowe states we are not a party of millionaires!
He has clearly ignored one damning fact, Labour’s shadow front bench has more millionaires sitting on it than the Conservative one.
Lowe’s candidature is endorsed by the unions Unite,Unison, GMB and the Co-operative group.
Whilst that in itself is bad enough adding Tony Blair to the motley crew, might not make his campaign a million dollar one but It’s clear the saying I haven’t got a pot to pee in doesn’t apply to the Labour candidate.
