You wouldn’t normally think of the hospital when making plans for a Bank Holiday weekend, but that’s exactly where I found myself recently.

Working with two other colleagues, I teamed up with the Kingswinford and Stourbridge Lions to distribute eggs and gifts to young patients and their siblings who were staying at Russells Hall Hospital over Easter.

We arrived in rather fetching pink and white bunny ears and one little boy was so happy to see us he asked if we wanted to keep his prized Lego! As we politely declined, he drew us a beautiful picture instead.

Due to the generosity of my colleagues at The Midcounties Co-operative Society, there were enough gifts to leave behind for any children admitted over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Whether it’s as people, businesses, or clubs, we can all do our bit to help those in need.
