Dear Cllr Foster, I note that you have managed to solve the issues of parking at Mary Stevens Park by moving the problem to another site in Wordsley! I also note that you intend to move 100 of the staff away from the park.

My maths degree tells me that that leaves 150 at the park still competing for 130 parking places.

Moving 100 staff to Wordsley to the school site next to Richardson Hall just compounds the difficulty, there are about 50 to 60 parking bays Many of the people who use Richardson Hall and park at the school have mobility issues - where do you suggest they park their vehicles?

I admit to having a vested interest in this matter. I use the leisure facilities at Wordsley Community Centre as do many others. Parking around the centre and the shopping area can get very busy, and if 40 or 50 council workers take parking spaces outside of the school early in the morning, where does that leave shoppers, users of the Community Centre and Richardson Hall?

Given the correspondence with regard to the old Hippodrome Theatre that has appeared in the press of late, I would venture to suggest that the council considers converting the building into office space for the staff of Dudley Council.
