WE WOULD like to extend our warmest thanks to Geoff Hill MBE and his charitable trust (Geoff Hill Electrical of Amblecote) for his kindness in supporting and sponsoring our grandson Kieran’s trip to Gibraltar for the Cuboree 2016 trip.

Our intrepid grandson, who is a member of the 15th Stourbridge (Norton St Michaels) Scout Group, had the most wonderful adventure there, with too many activities and events crammed into the five-day trip to mention here.

This was a significant characterbuilding milestone for Kieran – he was one of only 20 cubs chosen from 1,700 cubs in the West Mercia Scout County.

He forged lasting friendships with his peers and indeed, the wonderful and fantastically brave scout leaders who did an exemplary job of looking after the boys and girls in their care.

Kieran will always remember and look back on his adventures on and around ‘The Rock’ and the lovely time he had.

And indeed, he will also remember the kindness he received from two people he had never met.

Mr and Mrs Hill have helped many local people through their charitable trust and well deserve any accolade they receive in recognition of their kindness and service to the local community.

The very best way to appreciate this lovely local couple is to support their business in Amblecote, if it is at all possible to do so, as we have done in the past.

I’m sure that most people would be surprised to learn that there is little difference between the prices at Geoff Hill Electrical and those at the mega-stores in Merry Hill and elsewhere.

And the excellent ‘one to one’ service and advice the staff provide belongs to a bygone age.

From Kieran, mum, dad and grandparents, our heartfelt thanks to Mr and Mrs Geoff Hill for your very generous contribution and kindness.

It is so very much appreciated.
