DEAR Councillors, In response to Dudley MBC planners in deciding that the Royal Oak must remove its protective razor wire, no-one I have spoken to has any complaints but most do find that Amblecote War Memorial Club to be just that, if the owner/licensee of the Royal Oak just walks away because of a "Jobsworth" then I can only assume that this site will indeed be an eyesore.

I would like to question if the company EIMCO? further down towards Wharf Road on the right hand side has planning permission for its razor wire protection?

If not then I strongly recommend that this should also be removed.

If planning permission has been granted then perhaps the decision for the removal of razor wire at the Royal Oak should be rescinded as both companies are within 100yds of each other, remember that closure of the Royal Oak will lead to loss of jobs, surely jobs come before 10 yds of inobtrusive razor wire !.

Yours Faithfully
Robert Bytheway

I could not agree any more about the above comment. Jobsworths say its an eyesore and all the owner wants to do is protect his property. The razor wire is not even that noticeable and just looks normal. the main issue is that some old biddy decided to complain to council and now people on dole and out of work - has this affected the council? no they still get their wages from our tax... bring on national strike for our rights
