I LIVE near Lichfield and regularly come to Stourbridge to visit a friend when I last came down, she was so excited about a new charity shop she had found.
Well Lichfield is full of charity shops and as I collect costume jewellery, I frequently visit them all.
Not wishing to disappoint my excited friend I went along with her to the MacMillan nurse shop, which is situated almost next to the town hall entrance in the Crown Centre.
To my amazement, it was the most unique charity shop I have ever come across, not only were the second hand watches and jewellery of outstanding quality and value, but the majority of the clothes both ladies and mens were brand new.
We got talking to a charming lady called Penny who was running the shop, I expressed my surprise and delight at the quality and price of the jewellery and clothes on display. Penny said that most people, once they have found the shop, say the same thing, but with the Crown Centre almost closed down, there is little passing trade.
Well ladies and gentlemen of Stourbridge, do not miss out.
You need to appreciate this gem of a shop that is right under your nose. But hurry, I shall soon be back in Stourbridge for another bag of bargains.
