Choice is with us...

I FEEL I must respond to a news article that I saw on television the other day.

An Iranian leader made the statement that Britain is evil.

To brand an entire nation of people, be it any nation as evil is wrong.

This is to tar everyone with the same brush.

Throughout the world evilness as we all know is prevalent, be it from a sinful thought to the planting of a bomb, from the deliberate starving of a child, to genocide, where there is good, bad can also be found.

It is the individual person who is always responsible for their actions and it is they who make the choices to serve the loving God or the hateful Devil.

This applies to the working class and world leaders.

The choice rests with the human race.

Before we point fingers or cast slurs, we should first look to our own doorstep.

If we could look to our own doorstep, if we could take time to open a Bible at Matthew Chapter 7: verses 3.4.5. We will read before you take the sawdust out of your brother’s eye, first take it out of your own eye.

I agreed it was mistaken for an Iranian official to write off an entire nation and all its people as "evil". In the same way, it was equally incorrect thinking by George Bush when he wrote off Iran and its people (and several other nations as well) as an axis of "evil". There are large numbers of Iranians who despair at the way their country is being led and who wish it were otherwise. We have rather the same situation here in fact. Never assume that a government of any country represents the views of all its citizens.
