Rude customer left me very upset

I AM a former resident of Stourbridge, I like to visit the town as often as I can to visit friends and shop in the High Street and Ryemarket.

Wednesday morning, 30th September about 11.20am I was in a queue in the Big Apple in the High Street. I was holding a heavy basket of goods and I moved past the first checkout so I could rest my basket on the counter of the second checkout. Both tills were in use and people were being served very quickly.

Whilst I was standing there a tall man in a white jacket called out to me in a loud, rude voice, 'There is such a thing as queuing you know".

This man did not look at me, nor did he turn round to acknowledge my reply, which was to assure him I was only resting my heavy shopping basket and was more than willing to wait my turn.

I am 68 and not in good health. This person caused me a great deal of embarrassment.

Thankfully the ladies on the tills and waiting customers assured me his rude and inappropriate comment was totally unfounded.

My shopping receipts will prove I spent over £100 in the High Street, however, this man's ungracious behaviour will not deter me from the pleasure of shopping in Stourbridge again.

Perhaps we should all send a silent apology to those people we have indavertently misjudged and upset because everything is not always as it seems.
