ROALD Dahl’s ever popular The BFG is taking up residence at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre this Christmas.
The story of a dream-blowing, big friendly giant and little orphan Sophie in a land of child-eating giants has entertained generations of children.
When little Sophie is snatched out of her bed in the dead of night by the BFG, she fears the worst.
His grisly neighbours, the Bloodbottler and the Fleshlumpeater, like nothing more than guzzling up human beans.
But the BFG is a dream-maker and not a man-eater and he’s about to take Sophie on a journey she will never forget.
The BFG is classic Dahl and this new production, adapted by David Wood, promises a visual theatrical treat for audiences of all ages.
The cast includes Joshua Manning as The BFG with eleven-year olds Madeleine Haynes, Chloe Hawthorne and Lara Wollington sharing the role of Sophie. The BFG is at The Rep until January 24. For more information visit www.birmingham-rep.co.uk.
