Jack White is coming to Birmingham
Jack White, who regularly tops the coolest man in rock polls, has decided to go solo and is coming to Birmingham, writes Bishan Davies.
The driving force behind such bands as The White Stripes and The Dead Weathers the multi-instrumentalist White, begins his 6 date tour of Britain including gigs in Ireland and Scotland in November.
For local fans he will be playing Birmingham O2 on November 7.
His debut solo album, Blunderbuss, released in April of this year created a storm amongst fans and was an immediate success topping the Album Charts on both side of the Atlantic.
The upcoming tour will not only provide an opportunity for new fans to sample his new work but also is one that lovers of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather will enjoy.
Jack’s musical roots lie in the old blues, with artists like Son House and he continues with his gritty blues riffs and distorted solos. White will ensure that fans won’t be sitting down for long.
Jack White is at the O2 Academy, Birmingham on November 7.
