JOAN Clarke proved the quickest Stourbridge runner when competing at the North Staffs Cross-Country League race at Stoke-on-Trent.
Clarke clocked 25 minutes 47 seconds to finish 28th in the senior women’s race which was won by City of Stoke’s Amy Mellor in 20.38.
Stourbridge’s Chloe Pearson claimed 37th spot in 26.28 with Natalie Dellar third home for the club in 81st spot when timed at 29.55.
Stourbridge finished seventh team overall in Division Two with a total of 129 runners completing the course.
Andy Boardman led Stourbridge home in the Senior Men’s race.
He clinched 79th position overall in a time of 42mins 33secs followed by Pete Walters who came 97th in 44.10.
Stourbridge contest the opening Birmingham League race this Saturday at Leamington Spa.
