ROWLEY Regis boxer Jason Welborn is set to top the bill during a packed night of action at Walsall Town Hall in May.

Welborn, British Masters and Midlands Area Light Middleweight Champion, will be the main attraction at an international ten round contest on Friday, May 16.

He goes into the fight, for which his opponent has yet to be decided, on the back of victories over Birmingham duo Max Maxwell and Terry Carruthers. His eighth round stoppage of Carruthers back in December was also a British Title Eliminator, so his appearance in Walsall is the perfect fight as he plots a course that he hopes will lead to a crack at the Lonsdale belt later this year.

Also in action on the night will be Kingswinford's Kyle Spencer. He will be looking to bounce straight back from his first defeat in eight fights.

‘Tipton Slasher’, Lee Glover, is back in ring action after his recent narrow split decision loss against Jon Kays for the English Super Featherweight Title and is joined by Staffordshire welterweight Rob Hunt and Cradley super featherweight Chris Male. Hunt and Male are both back in the ring for the first time in 2014.

Halesowen super middleweight Lennox Clarke will be looking to record a fourth straight win after putting James Child, Jody Meikle and Shaun Law to the sword in his opening three contests. Tickets, priced at £30 and £60 Ringside, are available from Walsall Town Hall box office on 0845 111 2900.
