HALESOWEN A and CC member Bradley Simkin rode to a superb victory in a youth race at Stourport.
The 16-year-old secured the win with great team support from fellow club members Jamieson Blain and George Carnes on July 17.
The win was well deserved but great credit must go to his two team mates, in particular Jamieson Blain, who is only 13 and is looking to be a future star.
Simkin seems to have inspired his older club members as junior rider Sam Dighton gained his second category licence by finishing third at Mallory Park and senior rider Tom Gregory recorded a fabulous win in the Alan Goddard Memorial Road Race held on Shropshire roads.
Further good news is that the Halesowen Club members Charles Walker, Patrick Fotheringham and Sam Dighton, together with guest rider Elliot Reynolds, have all gained entry to the Junior Tour of Wales on the August bank holiday. The team has backing from Trust Skoda who are providing a team car for the event.
