MARTIN Thomas is refusing to look any further than his survival aim despite Lye rising to fifth in the Premier Division of the Midland Football League.

Their fine form continued last Saturday as Ricky Anslow's first half strike gave them a 1-0 victory at home to Quorn.

Town now face table-toppers Long Eaton at Stourbridge Road this Saturday but Thomas and fellow joint manager Darren Goodall only care about the one win they need to all but secure life in the league for another season.

"All I want is one more win," said Thomas. "If we get it then that should mean we will stay up. I don't care how or when we get it. If it comes against the teamat the top this weekend then all the better.

"After that we can look ahead but the only thing I'm thinking about is avoiding relegation.

"Hopefully we can continue how we have been playing and then look ahead after that. The only pressure the players were under was to keep us in the league and they are now close to doing that."

Lye go into Saturday's contest with a fully fit squad. Only Scott Gennard remains out through suspension.
