HIMLEY captain Tom Kohler-Cadmore says his side are playing with increased confidence ahead of this Saturday's trip to Old Hill.

Last Saturday's home game against Walsall was abandoned due to rain but Himley had previously bagged back-to-back league victories.

They now take on local rivals Old Hill who sit just one place above them in seventh in Division One of the Birmingham Premier League.

The skipper said: "You can sense that the team has a lot more confidence now.

"They are much happier playing 55 overs. They seem to know exactly what is required of them in that form of the game.

"This league is very close and it has already been shown that all teams are capable of beating each other. It means that any team that puts two or three games together can really push themselves into the mix.

"Old Hill are a big club and have done reasonably well this year. It should be a good contest between us and one we are looking forward to.

"We are confident at the moment and want to keep that going."

Meanwhile, Himley lost in Sunday's National Village Cup clash away at Pelsall.

However, they continued their run in the Birmingham League's Twenty20 Challenge Cup with a win at Stourbridge last Wednesday.
