NEIL Shillingford wants his Dudley Kingswinford players to come out of the blocks quicker when they look to get back to winning ways against Burton.

The Heathbrook outfit travel away this Saturday after a break in the fixture list last weekend.

That break came on the back of spirited defeats against the league’s promotion contenders, as a narrow defeat at Bournville was followed by a home loss against leaders Bridgnorth.

Now Shillingford wants his players to bounce back to winning ways.

He said: “It’s all about picking up some more points again after we lost the last two. The performances have been good but we can still improve.

“I think we need to start games better than we did against Bridgnorth. We need to stop letting teams get footholds in game.

“It will then be a case of managing the end of the game a little better once we are in front. The middle section has been really good for us overall so those things could have a big impact.”

Shillingford will have an almost full strength squad to select from again after Stuart Bratt put himself into contention after a few recent run outs for the club’s second team.

Danny Hawkins (arm) and Gareth Bown (knee) remain the only long-term absences.
