STOURBRIDGE boss Gary Hackett says there is no time to dwell on recent league disappointment as attention turns to making more FA Cup history.

The Glassboys had to rely on an injury time strike to salvage a point at Marine last Saturday before slipping to a disappointing defeat at home to Sutton Coldfield on Monday night.

Hackett's men will now go to fellow Northern Premier League side Nantwich Town this Saturday looking to once again make the first round of the famous competition.

The manager said: "No one can affect what has happened in the past now. All we can do is have an impact on the next game.

"We are expecting a tough game against a good footballing side that we have had some close games against.

"It will probably come down to the side that can hold their nerve.

"We know what we can do but just need to make sure we put in a consistent performance."

The Glassboys will have to put Monday night's disappointment firmly out of their minds.

Danny O'Callaghan scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time as he capitalised on a comedy of errors to hand Sutton the points.

Despite Stour pushing for a way back in the contest, they couldn't find the back of the net as time ran out.

That came just two days after substitute Brandon Hague's late header salvaged a point for the Glassboys at Marine.

Hague's far post header from Justin Richards' 91st minute cross was judged by the assistant referee to have crossed the line despite Marine's Jack Short heading the ball away. Again Stour had to play catch up after falling behind.

It's an element of their game that Hackett wants resolved sooner rather than later.

"We can't keep giving teams at this level a head start," added Hackett.

"A draw was a fair result against Marine, who haven't lost at home this season, but sooner or later a time will come when we can't get back into it, which happened against Sutton.

"We dominated possession and had the chances but things just weren't going our way."

Jack Duggan will return to training this week after injury but Saturday's cup clash may come too soon. However, Dan Scarr is back in line for a return after suffering concussion against Corby Town.

Meanwhile, defender Joe Hull has gone out on-loan to Tividale with first team chances limited.
