TIVIDALE boss Dave King is sure it's only a matter of time before his side dish out a heavy beating.

Tivi kept the heat on the West Midlands Premier League's top two with a 2-1 victory over neighbours Dudley Sports last Saturday.

Dan Smith fired in a first half double to make sure Dale did enough to take the points back to Packwood Road.

However, despite being pleased with the performance, King says his side had more than enough chances to kill off the clash before the hosts pulled one back to make for a nervy finish.

"We did really well in difficult conditions but needed that third goal to kill it off," he said. We just didn't manage to get it because of either good goalkeeping or poor finishing on our part.

"We had more than enough chances though. I'd be more worried if we weren't creating them.

"It does feel like we're a performance away from giving someone a real beating when we do take our chances. It definitely feels on the cards."

Tivi are due to host Bustleholme in the JW Hunt Cup tomorrow night before welcoming AFC Bridgnorth this Saturday (3pm kick-off).

The Dudley clash saw former goalkeeper Luke Kriskinans return to fill in for the absent Ryan Cheshire.

Cheshire will be available for this Saturday along with Tyree Clarke and Liam Wilkinson, who both edge closer to action after hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.

Forward Chris Bladen picked up a knock against Dudley and remains a doubt for Saturday.
