BLACK Country people can now do their bit to help our campaign to save lives in the drought-hit Gambian village of Sintet.

The Stourbridge News has joined forces with Project Gambia pupils at Ridgewood High School in Wollaston to raise £10,000 to fund the building, installation and running of a water pump and irrigation system to get the villagers through the crippling dry season.

Every penny really does count to give villagers a gift of life which will endure for generations.

Every donation or fundraising event, large or small, will take us one step closer to our target.
