FORMER Elmfield School pupils are being urged to reconnect with old friends at a special reunion event later this year.

The school is opening its doors to former students at the event, and is currently on the hunt for pupils who might have lost touch.

The reunion will take place between 10am and 5pm on September 10, and it is hoped many past students will attend the event as it will enable one young person in Stourbridge to receive the “renowned, creative Waldorf curriculum”.

The independent school commits to offering a place to one child per year who finds themselves in financial hardship and cannot afford to pay to the school fees – which the reunion will help to fund.

A spokesperson said: “The reunion is a chance for people to meet after, in some cases, 30-plus years and have a catch up with friends and teachers at the school.

“We are laying on some fun activities like rounders, old school favourites including stilts, some old pictures of days gone by and a cinefilm of the school back in 1966.”

Food will be laid on during the day, with a vegetarian option, while teas, coffee and cakes will also be available.
