HUNDREDS of parents, friends and family from a Stourbridge primary school helped raise £3,000 at their annual PTA Autumn Ball.

The James Bond themed event will see Oldswinford CofE Primary School’s pupils benefit and help “create memories from experiences” which would not have been possible without the funds.

Jo Dandy, ball organiser and parent, said: “We have been delighted and completely overwhelmed by the generous support we have received from the local community to make this fantastic event happen.

“We started organising the ball and grand raffle last year and have enjoyed every minute, it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves on the night and we’re really pleased that we were able to raise money to continue to support the school.”

As well as sponsoring tables at the event local business and friends of the school donated a wide range of prizes for a grand raffle.

Sponsors for the evening included B2B Communications, Daisychain Nursery, West One Decorators, Tarmac, Drayton Solutions, Talbots, Lawnswood fencing, Halesowen Windows, Merchants, Wollaston fish bar, Rugby tots, Cakes by Sian, Stourbridge Music shop, Taylors, Temple Spa, Scratch nails, RB Roofing, Kashoff, Kumon, Swimrite, Nikolls and Perks, Martin Hill interiors and Jane Jordan photography.

Jenny Birchall, headteacher at Oldswinford Primary School, said: “The funds raised by the PTA with the support of our parents and wider community help to create memories from experiences.

“Whether it’s an art project, historic experience, visit or trip and further enrich the teaching and learning experiences for our children.

“Our thanks go to everyone for their kind support.”
