Discount incentive for buying locally

A NEW card scheme rewarding shoppers with guaranteed discounts for buying from local businesses is being offered in Stourbridge. The buylocal2u guaranteed discount card aims to encourage shoppers back into Stourbridge town centre.

It works in a similar way as a loyalty card but instead of points, gives customers guaranteed discounts when they shop with local businesses using their card.

Similar schemes are working successfully in other UK market towns.

This card will be launched to the public on Saturday (18th) at the Farmers Market and will enable shoppers to get guaranteed discounts using their card at the Farmers Market.

Shoppers can pick up their permanent discount card for just £1 on Saturday or online at buylocal2u.com.

The buylocal2u scheme can be used by every local independent business and is being backed by local politicians as a way of encouraging traders and customers back into the Stourbridge community.

All types of businesses will be part of the scheme.

Businesses wishing to take part in the scheme or to find out more can check online at buylocal2u.com/help or contact Geoff Harper through buylocal2u.com
