STOURBRIDGE MP Lynda Waltho is backing a campaign to increase the amount of first aid taught in schools.
The Labour MP has written to the Department for Education and Skills in support of the campaign started by the British Red Cross.
Lynda said: "First aid is a life skill and can save lives and reduce injuries and I would be happy to see more first aid on the curriculum.
"If it is taught in schools, it would become a part of the nation's make-up and I can only see advantages of our young people being taught first aid and being able to help those who have had an accident."
