STOURBRIDGE MP Lynda Waltho is supporting a Save the Children/British Gas campaign to help youngsters improve their communities.
The Here to Help' award offers young people the chance to win grants of up to £3,000 to fund community projects - and the Labour MP is urging individuals and groups in Stourbridge to apply.
Ms Waltho said: "Awards such as Here to Help' do so much to encourage young people to think creatively and imaginatively about their communities, other youngsters and how to improve the situation through dynamic and lasting community projects.
"Prizes of £1,000 are available and projects that show a clear aim to help the most disadvantaged young people could win up to £3,000.
"This is a great opportunity for young people with positive and vibrant ideas and I hope plenty of people in Stourbridge will see fit to enter."
The deadline for applications is Friday March 23.
