STOURBRIDGE MP Lynda Waltho is encouraging employers and trainers to enter for awards of up to £300,000 to invest in practical learning.
The Edge Awards are awarded to UK employers, trainers or individuals who offer learning opportunities to young people aged 14 to 25.
As well as recognising organisations providing practical learning opportunities for young people, the awards also celebrate the achievements of young learners who have excelled in their chosen career thanks to on the job training.
This year the scheme will award more than £300,000 to employers and individuals involved in partnerships, work placements and other practical learning initiatives.
Winners need to demonstrate how they will invest their award money in training for young people.
Lynda said: "My regular visits out and about in Stourbridge show me there are many organisations and providers of training doing excellent on the job training with young people around the constituency.
"This is a fantastic opportunity to receive a cash award for their efforts and to celebrate the achievements of their young learners. I do hope local organisations will take up the challenge and show they have the edge' when it comes to training."
