I WRITE to congratulate Matthew Caddick, his town centre team and everybody who participated in the St George's Day celebrations in Stourbridge on Saturday.

The whole day was a resounding success with perfect sunny Stourbridge weather and it was so good to walk around the town to see so many people from all over the borough, locals and visitors, enjoying the festivities.

Special congratulations go to our local children who provided such a spectacular dragon, marched impeccably, and joined in the singing and dancing events to entertain us.

It was good to see the market in its traditional location and I lost count of the number of locals who stopped me to tell me what a great day they were having and how proud that Stourbridge was taking centre stage again.

I attended four separate St George's events during the day in and around Stourbridge and all were very well organised, attended and most enjoyable. It really was a great day for the whole local community.

Well done everybody - another Stourbridge success!
