STOURBRIDGE MP Lynda Waltho has backed the Stroke Associations call for residents get involved and influence government policy on the future of stroke services in the West Midlands.

A third of patients are not treated on a designated stroke ward, but hoping to improve on this statistic the Government is developing a new national strategy to boost services available to stroke victims.

Mrs Waltho said: "I believe the National Strategy can only be strengthened through the contributions of people with hands-on direct experience as constituents, stroke survivors and their carers."
