STOURBRIDGE MP Lynda Waltho has welcomed the Government's announcements in the Queen's speech on Tuesday (November 6) as positive news for people in Stourbridge.

Lynda said: "The Government has outlined a great programme for the future of our country and the announcements show real vision and commitment from the Prime Minister.

"The three main themes of the new legislation are opportunity and aspiration, safety and security and democracy.

"If we look at the Bills that will be introduced this session it's clear the Prime Minister has taken on board much of the lobbying done by myself and colleagues on behalf of people in Stourbridge.

"Bills such as the Education and Skills Bill, which will mean that all young people will stay in education, training or work-based learning until age 18, the Housing and Regeneration Bill, which will create new and affordable housing in sustainable communities and the Climate Change Bill, where the UK will become the first country in the world to put into legislation a long-term target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, are all practical solutions to issues that people across Stourbridge tell me concern them."

Putting Stourbridge nutters into full time school until they are 18, rediculous. Most of them are incapable of reaching year 7 level before diving into the drugs abiss!
That's Labour for you!
