BRIERLEY Hill Sports Bar A saw their lead of the Stourbridge Snooker League trimmed to three points as they beat Hot Shots 3-2.

It could have been worse for the leaders, who at one stage trailed 2-0 before wins for Saqib Nasir, Callum Downing and John Pritchett turned the game around.

Norton Social A won 4-1 away to Pockets SC B. Ashley Aston, Steve Mason, Neil Rollinson and Adam Ness all won but Rob Pitt slipped up against Danny Rees.

Meanwhile, Kinver Constitutional A remain five points behind Norton in third after a 4-1 win at home against Brierley Hill’s B team.

Kev Franklin made it 13 wins out of 13 in West Midlands Police’s 4-1 success against Brierley Hill’s C team.

Ash Sidaway, Rob Clark and Andy Round combined in Amblecote Institute A’s 3-2 victory against Pockets SC A, while Snooks SCA went fifth courtesy of a 4-1 win against their own B team.

Netherton Sports and Social established a two point lead at the top of the First Division with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Norton Social B. Paul Bowen, Andy Barnett and Richard Barnsley were their winners.

Kingswinford RBL A hung on to second place with a 3-2 win against Wombourne but they now share it with Kingswinford Snooker Centre, who dropped only one frame against Kinver Constitutional B.

Kinver’s C team produced one of their best performances of the campaign via a 4-1 success against Kingswinford Cons A, with Graham Taylor, Simon Roper, Steve Nicholls and Dave Simmonds all winning.

Dean Banks was Stourbridge Institute B’s only winner as Brierley Hill Sports Bar D won 4-1, with Theo Brennan’s break of 47 the highlight.

Dibdale SC are still searching for their first win as lost 3-2 to Amblecote RBL.

Baggeridge Social beat fierce rivals Amblecote Institute C 4-1 to take a two point lead at the top of the Second Division.

Frankie Bennett, Dave Whale, Luke Whale and Ryan Allmark all won before Mark Colbourne grabbed a consolation for Amblecote.

It was a similar story elsewhere as Kinver Constitutional D took the first four frames at Kingswinford RBL B on route to a 4-1 win.

Game of the day came at Stourbridge Institute C where the hosts won the first two frames at home to Kingswinford Cons B before the visitors turned the game around thanks to victories for Leigh Bennett, Sam Porter and Lee Wragg.
