Kings let two goal lead slip

KINGSWINFORD Hockey Club returned to action on a low note as they suffered a 4-2 defeat at Solihull Blossomfield.

Despite missing five regular first teamers, Kings still travelled with a strong squad.

And they opened up a 2-0 lead inside the first 15 minutes.

The first goal was a superb solo effort from Ajay Sandhu, who twisted and turned past three defenders before firing home.

Moments later Kam Mann intercepted a crossfield pass and set up Cole Hickman for the simplest of finishes.

But Solihull hit back and went into the break level as they capitalised on the visitors’ defensive lapses.
