IMPRESSIVE Enville went top of the Worcester County League Division Two with a crushing nine wicket win over bottom placed Tenbury.

Batting first the visitors could only manage 64 all out (James Willis 3-4) In reply Enville took 9.4 overs to reach their target, Abdul Salom 28 not out Matthew Branch 27 not out. Netherton scored a resounding win over Coombs Wood.

A second-successive win has moved them up into the top six and was inspired by a fine display with the ball and solid work with the bat Despite winning the toss and opting to bat, the visitors could muster only 167 all out in 48 overs, Mike Langford top scoring with 25 as no fewer than seven batsmen reached double figures but were unable to go on.

Jack Green took 3-34 from 14 overs while Andy Lewis (2-19) removed both openers and Conor Warby wrapped things up with 3-42.

Skipper Paul Harris ensured Netherton made a positive start to their reply making 63, ably supported by Russell Oseland with 28, before Simon Oseland (38) and Usman Bari (4) saw it through to the end with more than six overs to spare.

Lye stayed top of division three after a crushing 117-run win over Malvern. The leaders made 217-9 in their allotted overs, Imran Riaz making 69 and Azhar Maeem an unbeaten 52 while Stephen Lake took 6-52.

Malvern were then skittled for exactly 100 as Adam Meacham took 5-41 and usman Riaz 3-52, Ashley Jones offering the only real resistance with 37. Usman Hussain made hit 45 not out to help Harborne thirds to a three-wicket win over Stourbridge Social.

The visitors had made 175, Daniel Wilkes (34) and Richard Milner (32) among five batsman who got past 20 but failed to go and post a big score, Baldev Raj taking 4-33.

After opener Iqbal Kasana’s 36 Hussain held the Harborne innings together despite Oliver Stevens taking 4-30.
