AN AGEING, ailing and arguing Kingswinford side made a magnificent start to their West Midlands League Division One clash with Wolverhampton side Old Wulfunians when Kaz Purewal cracked home an early cross which managed to put his side ahead.

Sadly, the superb start didn’t last as Wulfs hit straight back to equalise on their way to a resounding 7-1 win.

Although Kingswinford had the better of play for the following 10 minutes, tired legs soon started to set in coupled with a loss of concentration as Wulfs were allowed to take hold of the game. Despite their efforts, Kingswinford were unable to stop ball possession going straight to Wulfs who were then ruthless in front of goal.

Kingswinford had their chances to redress the balance, but both Takhar and Taran fired straight at the goalkeeper when they could have done better.

l Colin Morris cracked home a couple of goals with Andy Cutler adding a third as Kingswinford Second’s lost 5-3 to Pershore while the Badgers were blown apart 10-0 by Kings Heath Pickwick.
