STOURBRIDGE Cricket Club has welcomed some new additions ahead of the forthcoming season.

The Birmingham League Division Two outfit has taken on Bilal Hassan and Ikram Mussadaq, who both arrive from Stourbridge Social Cricket Club.

They will help replace Adam and James Lawley. The pair have moved on to play for Hawkins C and R.

Club captain Richard Bradley is looking for the team to continue its development this campaign after a good season in 2013.

He said: "We finished fourth last year without really hitting the heights, so it would be good if we could be up their again.

"However, I think the division will be tight this season and very competitive. The promoted sides should all do well.

"It all adds up to the league looking very strong. We will be aiming for a top half finish and will then look to push on from there if we are well placed.

"There is no pressure on us to get promoted this year, we are still fairly new to the division.

"As long as we can continue to improve as a side, that's the main thing for us."

Audy Alexander will be Stourbridge's overseas player for the fourth year in a row.

The club will start their season with an away trip to take on Leamington Spa this Saturday.
