OLDBURY weightlifter Jaswant Shergill missed out on Commonwealth medal glory.
The 20-year-old member of the Oldbury Academy Weightlifting Club competed for England in the men's 62kg class in Glasgow today.
He finished fourth in Group B with a total weight of 250kg.
With Group A to compete later today, the current English champion won't be taking home a medal despite a determined display.
Wales' Gareth Evans took top spot in the group with a total of 268kg.
However, Jaswant’s success in making it to the Glasgow Games, meant the Oldbury club has had competitors in three consecutive Games, the previous two being in Mebourne and Delhi.
