CRADLEY Heathens will finish top of the table for the fourth time in five seasons with two wins and six points from their National League double-header at Monmore Green tonight.

The Heathens host a blockbuster night of action against both King's Lynn and Mildenhall with the added incentive of mathematically confirming their place at the top of the standings.

The former Dudley Wood outfit have enjoyed stunning success since returning to the track in the third tier in 2010.

This year has proved no different, with Will Pottinger's side once again proving a dominant force.

As they aim to wrap up their place at the top of the table, chairman Nigel Pearson has urged supporters to come out in force to back their side.

He said: "The incentive to win both meetings and claim maximum points can be no bigger than the chance to finish top of the National League.

"To do that four years out of the five we have been riding at this level would be a fantastic achievement.

"We still have meetings to come against Devon and King's Lynn but we want to get the job done tonight, and we urge everyone to get down to Monmore Green to roar us on.

"Thankfully the weather forecast has proved correct and we've had a dry afternoon. It promises to be a great night of racing so we are looking forward to seeing everyone there."
