BARLEY Mow Wanderers beat Hadcroft Rovers 5-1 in round one of the Dudley and Cradley League's Guest Hospital Cup.

The game started with Barley Mow taking an early lead when a Simon Nunn throw was smashed home by Jon O'Keeffe.

One soon became two when a good passage of play ended with Ollie Monk tapping home Adam Naylor's drilled cross.

Barley Mow’s dominance was sealed before the break when Ollie Monk grabbed his second of the game with a deft finish following Jon O'Keeffe cross.

The second half began with Hadcroft pulling one back. The Barley goalkeeper tipped a deep shot onto the bar which fell to the Hadcroft captain to head home.

Hadcroft then pushed on but Barley Mow made it four when Marc Clifford scored direct from the corner. The home side made it 5-1 as Ollie Monk broke free to complete his hat-trick.

In the same contest, Hope Tavern beat Roebuck 7-0 away from home.

Hope took the lead after nine minutes when a Declan Calder cross went straight in. Lee Chilton made it 2-0 four minutes later.

On 24 minutes, Hope Tavern missed a penalty but finished a one sided half 4-0 up with goals from Kieran Bennett and Jason Chilton.

Roebuck started the second half a little better but couldn't break Hope Tavern down and ended conceding a further three goals with Kieran Bennett getting his second on 64 minutes, sub Chris brown making it six on 67mins and Kieran Bennett hitting his hat-trick on 82.

In the Premier Division, Coseley Tavern drew 3-3 with Bunch.

Coseley Tavern took the lead with a Ben Scriven goal that was soon equalised by James Kirk.

Bunch went 2-1 up with a goal by Marcus Albert before a brace from Stuart Hillman edged Coseley ahead.

However, Marcus Albert scored a late equaliser for Bunch.

King William beat Britannia 4-2.

Pensnett United beat Hasbury Rangers 5-3. Hasbury took the lead through Chris Pike only for Pensnett to hit back with two goals from Scott Hickman.

Pensnett then scored three goals, a left foot screamer from Dale Whitehouse and two from Jack Jukes.

Hasbury scored two late goals from Chris Pike to complete his hat trick.

Saracens Head lost 8-5 at home to Sedgley White Lion.

In Division One, Dudley Borough United defeated Halesowen Members 2-1.

Halesowen were given an early penalty which was dispatched by Lewis Jones. They continued to press deep into Dudley's half but failed to create clear cut chances.

The second half begun with more sustained pressure on the Dudley goal, but a counter attack resulted in Alex Brady winning a penalty, converted by Jack White for his first Dudley goal. Halesowen were then reduced to ten men in the last ten minutes.

In stoppage time, Dudley substitutes combined to give them the win. Scott Ryder set up debutant Mikey Koppel.

Ash Baker hit a second half hat-trick as High Acres K'Ford came from behind to beat Lloyds 4-1.

Ashley Rollinson gave the visitors a half time lead before Baker's hat-trick and a Kyle Bennett strike gave High Acres the win.

Old Lark beat Forest Falcons 2-1.

In the Ray Turley Memorial Competition, which took place last Thursday, Coseley Tavern beat Pensnett United 4-2 and Hasbury Rangers secured a 3-1 victory over Sedgley White Lion.

In the Premier Division, Britannia beat Bunch 6-0 and Hope Tavern beat King William 6-1 away.
