Chairman Steve Austin has challenged his Dudley Town players to continue their fine league form despite Saturday's disappointing exit from the FA Vase.

The Robins dismantled Wolverhampton Sporting Community last Wednesday to extend their unbeaten run to four games.

Four goals from Rhys Morgan, a brace from Stephen Jones and an Andy Arnold strike gave them an impressive 7-0 away victory.

However, that was followed on Saturday by a 3-1 away defeat at the hands of Nuneaton Griff in the FA Vase.

Austin has put the cup exit down to a bad day at the office and wants his side to recapture their league form straight away.

He said: "We were very good against Wolverhampton and were rewarded for our attacking play. Every time we went forward we scored.

"Against Nuneaton we had a bad day. It was just one of those games and all we can do now is move on and forget it.

"The whole team had an off day but have hopefully got it out of their system."

Town were due to take on Malvern tonight before travelling to face Bridgnorth on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Dudley Sports were set to return to action against Smethwick tonight before facing Shifnal Town this Saturday.

They didn't have a game last weekend due to FA Vase fixtures.
