DUDLEY Kingswinford have moved quickly to snap up former Stourbridge player Jamie Hearn.

The left wing checked in at Heathbrook just days after being released by DK's neighbours at Stourton Park.

The club is now hoping the paperwork will go through in time for this Saturday's visit of Lichfield.

It means director of rugby Carl Douglas could ring the changes.

DK slipped to another defeat when losing 27-10 away to Hinkley last weekend and Douglas is now preparing to shuffle his pack as he looks to secure the team’s second win of the season.

He said: “There could be some changes to the line-up. It’s maybe time to change it around and freshen it up in certain areas of the team.

“We have been making too many mistakes recently and it was the same against Hinkley. Certain players have to cut out the errors in their game because it is costing us.

“We got back in the match at 14-10 at one stage but let it slip because we conceded too many penalties and made too many mistakes.

"Players need to expect more from themselves so we can get beyond playing in fits and starts.”

On the arrival of Hearn, Douglas added: "He could be a very good addition for us and we are delighted to announce his signing.

"We moved quickly to get the deal done."

Another change could see fellow new addition Edlyn Serge included. The club is also hoping the South African lock’s registration goes through in time.
