CAUSEWAY United boss Andy Mole praised his side's resilience after they battled back with ten men to earn a point against Heath Hayes last Saturday.

Despite starting the contest well, United were soon up against it after Jack Pearlman saw red in the first 15 minutes.

The hosts then edged ahead in the 48th minute through Harry Phillips.

However, never-say-die Causeway continued the battle and grabbed a point when Dreniz Bala, making his debut after a move from Gornal Athletic, hit an equaliser on 54 minutes.

Mole said: "We showed really good character to get something from the game. We played really well and could have even won it in the end.

"Dreniz Bala did really well and isn't quite fully fit yet. You will see the best of him in another month."

Causeway were set to take on Tipton Town last night in the Birmingham Senior Cup.

They will then welcome Continental Star to The Grove this Saturday.
