HALESOWEN goalkeeper Dan Platt will be out for up to two months after suffering a serious eye injury in Saturday's 2 - 1 victory over Ramsbottom.

The Yeltz stopper suffered a detached retina after he was hit in the face by the ball during the first half.

He is now awaiting an operation to repair the damage that could have seen him lose his sight had he not gone to hospital so quickly.

Platt is no stranger to freak injuries after losing four teeth in pre-season in a home friendly against Tividale.
