GORNAL Athletic boss Andy Wyton is planning to organise a friendly match this weekend to give his players some game time.
The Peacocks were again hit by the wet weather last Saturday when their clash against Stone Old Alleynians was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Garden Walk.
Wyton's men have not been in action since their 1-0 loss at home to Bewdley Town on December 5.
They were set to take on Dudley Sports at Hillcrest Avenue last night but don't have a game this Saturday.
Wyton says he will use the break to organise a friendly this weekend.
"We are going to chat to a few sides to see if we can arrange something," he said. "It has got to the stage where the players need to play. Training isn't enough.
"We want to hit the ground running when we do start up again and getting a friendly sorted out will help us do that."
