HALESOWEN'S Ryan Quek was part of the Birmingham Lions team that have been crowned National Badminton League champions.
The Lions came out on top at the Baclaycard Arena when beating Loughborough Sports 3-1 in the final on Sunday, May 8.
The Birmingham Lions, supported by Racketline of Birmingham, are made up of coach Lorraine Cole, team manager Dave Eddy, captain Toby Penty and Fountain Chapman, Heather Olver, Koen Ridder, Nico Rupenen, Sarah Walker, Gray Fox, James Lauder, Catherine Grant, Ryan Quek, Kirby Ngan, Anita Raj Kaur, Alida Chen..
The team is a multi-national and multi-ethic group of players from the Netherlands, Sweden, English and Malaysia.
