STOURBRIDGE Running Club were well to the fore in two testing events at the weekend.

James Bellamy pulled out all the stops to finish a fabulous third in the Birmingham Super Sprint Triathlon.

James completed the opening 200 metre swim in 6mins 58secs and then contested a 10km bike ride in 19mins 13secs.

He then rounded off by clocking 10mins 57secs in the 2.5km run to record an overall time of 39mins 51secs.

Long distance Adam Harris took part in the gruelling 24 hour classic Thunder Run on the Staffordshire-Derbyshire border.

Despite being troubled with injury problems Adam still clinched 35th place and completing 10 laps of the 10km course before retiring in a time of 22hours, 36mins and 28secs.
