HAGLEY secured a four-wicket win over neighbours Pedmore in Division One of the Worcestershire County League.

A half century from Ryan Beaumont helped visitors Pedmore to 202 all out after they had won the toss and elected to bat.

Neil Hurst bagged four wickets for 38 runs as Hagley turned the screw.

The hosts then knocked off the runs by the 44th over thanks to a fine unbeaten 91 from Eral Anderson.

Hagley go to Belbroughton this Saturday while Pedmore welcome Colwall (both 1pm).

Belbroughton go into the game on the back of defeat against Cookley.

Jaimen Rudd hit a century for hosts Cookey to help them to 243 all out.

Belbroughton were then bowled out for 210 in the 47th over.

They will now turn their attention to Hagley as they look to get out of the relegation zone.

Bottom-placed Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social kept themselves in the hunt for survival with a five-wicket win at home to Burghill, Tillington and Weobley.

Barney Morgan hit an unbeaten 97 for the visitors but he failed to find batting partners as his side slide to 157 all out.

Thomas Blunt (70 not out) helped Oldswinford knock off the runs by the 46th over.

They will look to maintain their recent form when they go to Droitwich Spa this Saturday.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Lye secured a five-wicket win against Wormelow.

Mohammed Ishtiaq (4-41) and Usman Riaz (3-42) were on top form to dismiss their visitors for 163.

Lye knocked off the runs in the 35th over after Zafar Iqbal had hit 51.

They now go to Bromyard this Saturday.

Enville entertained bottom of the table Alvechurch and Hopwood in a must win game at Enville Hall.

Winning the toss Enville chose to bat but soon found themselves in trouble. A 96 run partnership between Jono Howells (28) and Greg Tomkins was unfortunately ended when Howells was given lbw. Tomkins followed Howells back to the pavilion shortly afterwards, top-scoring with 73. Enville’s lower order again showed fragility as the last six wickets fell for 44 to set a below par 197 off 50 overs.

Enville needed early wickets to put pressure on but the visitors had a steady start.

George Roberts (2-40) eventually made the breakthrough with two wickets in an over. Alex Craven and James Willis helped to reduce the visitors to 109 for six and gave Enville a chance of victory.

But a combination of good batting and poor bowling and fielding allowed Alvechurch to inch towards the target.

Enville travel to Herefordshire to face Wormelow this Saturday.
