Yeltz start season with defeat at Buxton
HALESOWEN Town were defeated 2-0 at Buxton in today's Northern Premier League season opener.
The Yeltz found themselves behind on the half hour mark when Nicky Walker's shot was deflected past keeper Dan Platt.
The hosts doubled their advantage on 66 minutes when midfielder Brad Abbott rifled home from distance.
Hales failed to recover from the setback and slipped to the disappointing defeat.
They will look to show their fight when Corby Town visit the Grove on Tuesday night.
